Four seats representing political ideals surround a table that is without corners, in a fixed postion and creates the image of an infinite abyss in the center by means of a series of strategically positioned two-ways mirrors. The idea was to create a place where ideas could be discussed while keeping in mind opposing ideas and always remembering that the discussion is an unending one and that there is always the possibility of new ideas.

The social and political furniture set had already been part of an exhibition at the Bar Fiasco of the European University Institute in Florence. However, there were drastic changes needed to bring it to a level that we felt comfortable showing it at the Festival della Creativita. The table and chairs had sat in the corner of a garage for months after we had proudly displayed them earlier in the summer. We had a special love for the set but it was beset with problems that we had not had the time to approach. So, re-opening the project was something we really looked forward to and something we ended spending most of our time with. We performed a sort of second-order reclamation. The process was wonderful and we were happy with the results. We, in fact, look forward to a third order rebuild as many new ideas have come to our minds.
